These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Veitkopis website and to our restaurant, wine bar and event services. Please read them before making an enquiry, booking or registration.
Scope
These terms govern the information on our website and the services we provide as a contemporary bistro and wine bar in Adelaide. By using the site or booking with us, you agree to them.
Restaurant services
Veitkopis provides dining, wine and beverage services, along with an occasional programme of evening events. Availability may vary, and we may update our menus and offerings from time to time.
Website and menu information
We take care to keep website information accurate, including menus and event details, but items, dishes and prices may change. Menu descriptions are a guide, and seasonal availability means specific dishes may not always be offered.
Prices
All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices may change, and the price confirmed at the time of your order or booking applies.
Restaurant enquiries and reservations
You can contact us with enquiries or reservation requests. A reservation is confirmed only once we respond to confirm it. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences, subject to availability.
Event information and registration
Details for each event are published on our Events & Evenings page. Submitting a registration form sends us a request; it does not automatically confirm your place. Confirmation depends on availability, event capacity and confirmation from Veitkopis.
Paid and free events
Some events are free with normal menu ordering, while others are fixed-price dinners or ticketed evenings. Where an event participation fee applies, it covers hospitality and event organisation — for example reserved seating, a welcome drink or grazing plates.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us as early as possible. We may occasionally need to reschedule or cancel an event; where that happens, we’ll let you know and offer a suitable alternative or refund where appropriate. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or remedy you’re entitled to under Australian Consumer Law.
Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms operate alongside, and do not remove, those rights.
Guest responsibilities and venue conduct
We ask all guests to behave respectfully toward our team and other guests. We reserve the right to decline service in line with our responsible hospitality obligations.
Food, drink and allergen information
We’re happy to provide ingredient and allergen information on request. As food is prepared in a shared kitchen, we cannot guarantee an environment entirely free of any allergen. Please tell us about dietary needs when you order.
Alcohol
Veitkopis is a licensed venue and serves alcohol in line with its licence and responsible-service obligations. We may refuse service where required to do so, and we always offer non-alcoholic alternatives.
Photography and event media
We may occasionally take photographs at events for our own records or promotion. If you’d prefer not to appear, please let a team member know on the night.
Intellectual property
The content on this website, including text, images and branding, belongs to Veitkopis or its licensors and may not be reused without permission.
Privacy
We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Website availability and external links
We aim to keep the website available but can’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Where the site links to external websites, we’re not responsible for their content or practices.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Veitkopis is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or our services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Force majeure
We aren’t responsible for failure to provide a service due to events beyond our reasonable control.
Changes to events or terms
We may update our events, menus or these terms from time to time. The current version will always appear on our website.
Our events and card evenings
Veitkopis is primarily a contemporary bistro and wine bar. Where a poker-themed social evening is offered, it is an occasional, entertainment-focused event within a wider restaurant programme. The website and Veitkopis do not provide online poker or real-money gambling services, and Veitkopis does not operate a casino or gambling establishment. These evenings are social occasions, and any participation fee relates to hospitality and event organisation only.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia.
