About us
Veitkopis is a contemporary bistro and wine bar in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, built around shared plates, seasonal cooking and a considered list of Australian wine. It’s the kind of place you settle into for a long dinner, a glass with friends after work, or a relaxed evening that turns into a few more plates than you planned.
The room is modern and unhurried — refined but never stiff. Food comes first here, with wine as its natural companion and a rotating programme of evenings that give the week a little more character.

We cook with what South Australia does well and change the menu as the seasons turn. Expect bright starters in the warmer months, deeper, slow-cooked plates as it cools, and a kitchen that leans on good produce rather than fuss.

Wine is a real part of who we are — sparkling, white, rosé and red, poured by the glass or the bottle. The list favours Australian labels, with South Australian regions well represented, chosen to sit comfortably beside the food.
We also pour house and classic cocktails, local beer, and a proper range of non-alcoholic drinks, spritzes, coffee and tea for anyone taking it easy.

Alongside everyday dining, we run a small programme of curated evenings — wine and small plates nights, seasonal set dinners, cheese and wine tastings, live jazz, and the occasional social get-together. They’re designed to complement the restaurant, not replace it.
