Events & Evenings at Veitkopis
A small, varied programme of evenings that sit alongside our everyday dining.
Our events are an extension of the restaurant, not a departure from it. Some are food-led, some centre on wine, one or two bring a little music or a social twist — but every evening starts with good plates and a glass in hand. Numbers are usually limited, so it’s worth booking ahead.

South Australian Wine & Small Plates Night
Date: Friday 16 October 2026
Start: 6:30 pm
A relaxed evening pairing a run of seasonal small plates with a selection of Australian wines, with optional tasting notes from our team as you go.
Format: seated, table-service tasting evening
Included: five small plates and four matched wine pours
Price: A$75 per person

Seasonal Bistro Dinner
Date: Thursday 29 October 2026
Start: 7:00 pm
A three-course set dinner built around the best of the season, served at your own table.
Format: fixed-price seated dinner
Included: starter, main and dessert, with an optional wine pairing
Price: A$69 per person, or A$104 with wine pairing

Cheese & Wine Evening
Date: Wednesday 11 November 2026
Start: 6:30 pm
A laid-back tasting evening working through a spread of cheeses with bread, accompaniments and selected wines — with a non-alcoholic option for anyone who’d prefer one.
Format: seated tasting evening
Included: cheese selection, breads and crackers, accompaniments and three wine pours (or non-alcoholic alternative)
Price: A$55 per person

Live Jazz Dinner
Date: Friday 20 November 2026
Start: 7:00 pm
Dinner and a glass with soft live jazz in the background — a warm city evening, ordered from our regular menu. It’s a dinner with music, not a nightclub.
Format: à la carte dining with live music
Included: no ticket required; order from the standard menu
Price: free entry, normal menu ordering

Social Poker Evening
Date: Thursday 3 December 2026
Start: 6:30 pm
A casual, friendly card evening for guests who fancy something a little different — played purely for fun, over a few plates and a glass. It’s one small, social part of our wider programme, and nothing more than good company around a table.
Format: relaxed Social Poker Evening with grazing
Included: reserved seating, a welcome drink and a shared grazing selection
Price: A$30 per person event participation fee, covering reserved seating, event organisation, a welcome drink and grazing plates

Capacity: limited to 24 guests
Chef’s Shared Table
Date: Saturday 12 December 2026
Start: 7:00 pm
A small-group dinner served family-style at a shared table, moving through seasonal plates chosen by the kitchen on the night.
Format: communal shared-table dinner
Included: shared starters, seasonal mains, sides and dessert
Price: A$95 per person
Registration: required in advance
Capacity: limited to 16 guests
For paid events, we’ll send a secure payment link once your place is confirmed. No payment is taken at the time of registration.

Good to know
Do I need to book events in advance?
Most of our ticketed and set-menu evenings need to be booked ahead, as places are limited. A few, like our Live Jazz Dinner, simply run alongside normal dining — though we’d still suggest reserving a table.
Can I visit Veitkopis just for dinner?
Absolutely. We’re a restaurant and wine bar first. You’re always welcome to come in for dinner and a glass with no event involved.
Are all events paid?
No. Some evenings are free and you simply order from the menu, while others are fixed-price dinners or ticketed tastings. The price for each is listed above.
Can I register several guests?
Yes — just enter the number of guests on the form and we’ll confirm availability for your group.
What happens if an event is full?
If an evening has reached capacity, we’ll let you know when we reply and, where we can, offer a spot on a waiting list or suggest another date.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Please give us as much notice as you can by phone or email so we can offer your place to someone else. Cancellation and refund conditions are covered in our Terms and Conditions.
Is poker the main focus of Veitkopis?
Not at all. Veitkopis is a contemporary bistro and wine bar. The Social Poker Evening is a single, occasional event within a much broader programme of food, wine and music — our focus is, and always will be, the dining experience.
